About

A short introduction to Peter David Howard.

Hi there! 👋Pete Howard here, I know, it’s a pretty common name. I’ve had to triple down as theres some tough competition out here on the world wide web. Famous Chefs, bassists and doctors are messing up my film funding chances! So, I go by Peter David Howard, which sounds like I should be handling your divorce instead of making films. I’m pretty sure my parents were angling for me to become a lawyer with that one!

I’m passionate about film, music, cultural folklore, and visual spectacles. I’m especially inspired by the works of Bryan Fuller, David Slade, Karyn Kusama, and Alfred Hitchcock. As of April 2025, Ive replanted myself in my hometown, Adelaide and I’m on the look out for the next film oppurtunity and new folks to create with.

Recent projects had a focus on LED Volume In-camera Visual Effects (ICVFX), a form of virtual production. I’ve got createda few shorts amongst which was Pirouette (2020), a film I was super proud of. It which had festival runs at PanicFest (U.S.), MonsterFest (Australia), and the Russian International Horror Festival. You can still catch it on YouTube, hosted by Downright Creepy. Since then, I’ve worked on several indie films, four of which used virtual production techniques, though some are still in post.

I’ve also spent over six years producing multimedia content for organisations like nbn and the University of Melbourne, as well as broadcast work for Network 10, Channel 44 and RMITV.

If any of this resonates with you, feel free to reach out. I’m always open to chatting and connecting! Also... feel free to recommend a cool stage name.
